***Vincent Woods, Arts Tonight presenter, has just been named Speech Broadcaster of the Year 2013 at the PPI radio awards!***
Tonight we visit the set of Ken Loach's film “Jimmy's Hall” in Leitrim, and speak to the filmmaker about his motivation in telling the story of the controversial Irish communist Jimmy Gralton. He talks to scriptwriter Paul Laverty and locals and actors about their involvement, and Professor Luke Gibbons on the historical importance of Jimmy Gralton in 1930s Ireland.
The programme takes a different approach to the arts in Ireland and internationally with a series of one-hour specials, in-depth one-on-one interviews and panel discussions. Download the podcast and follow us on facebook and twitter.
