A daily magazine programme which looks at what's on in the world of arts and entertainment
New Planet Cabaret – On Tuesday 4th December Arena, together with New Island Press, launched the first ever on-air creative writing course. The course is aimed at anyone who would like to improve their writing skills or even write creatively for the first time.
The course will last six months. At the conclusion we will publish a collection which will include the best submissions from our listeners along with contributions from writers who regularly appear on the programme.
The collection will be called New Planet Cabaret. It will be published by New Island Press and edited by writer and lecturer Dave Lordan.
The first task which Dave has set participants is to write a piece called The Party.
