The nominations for this year’s Academy Awards were announced yesterday afternoon. One of the films nominated for best adapted screenplay is Inherent Vice, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Joaquin Phoenix which is due out in cinemas here later this month. It’s adapted from the 2009 novel of the same name by Thomas Pynchon and to tell us more about the author is Mark Quinn.
