On our Rattlebag Review this month, Sinead Gleeson, Denis Kehoe and Michael Feeney Callan join us to throw a critical eye over some of the latest offerings from the world of the Arts.

The programme will be broadcast at the later time of 8.30pm as part of the Best of Rattlebag.

Thank You For Smoking

Thank You For Smoking is the new film from Jason Reitman, which stars Aaron Eckhart as Nick Naylor, chief spokesman for the American tobacco industry, who spins on behalf of cigarettes while trying to remain a role model for his twelve-year-old son. The film opens at selected Irish cinemas this weekend.

The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil is this months book. It tells the story of Inner Horner, a nation so small it can only accommodate one citizen at any one time. It is written by George Saunders, includes the short story collection ‘In Persuasion Nation’ and is published by Bloomsbury priced at around €17.00.
