The RTÉ Radio Player is available on all of the RTÉ Radio websites. You can launch it from the remote control at the top-right of every page. The RTÉ Radio Player is also available to download for iOS (iPhone) and Android mobile devices.

The RTÉ Radio Player lets you play an RTÉ Radio station live on your PC or mobile device. If you have missed a programme or want to catch up on the best bits from the last month of radio then you can listen back on the RTÉ Radio Player. You can also share, comment and contact a programme by using the RTÉ Radio Player.
No, you do not need to register for any activity on the RTÉ Radio Player.
You can listen live to all programmes on RTÉ Radio’s FM and Digital stations. You can listen back to most programmes on the four FM services and a selection from four of the digital services: RTÉ 2XM, RTÉ Pulse, RTÉjr Radio and RTÉ Radio 1 Extra.
The programmes are available approximately 30 minutes after the live broadcast. Depending on content, availability times may vary.
They are available for 28 days on the RTÉ Radio Player and indefinitely on the website (subject to rights).
To listen to podcasts in the RTÉ Radio Player, click the ‘View Items on this Show’ button when listening to the full programme. You will get a list of the podcasts for that programme on that day. To subscribe to the podcast with your own podcast software, you must visit the specific programme website or http://www.rte.ie/radio/podcast
Yes, content from Radio 1 Extra, the Digital and Longwave service, is also included on the RTÉ Radio Player, so sports coverage that is not on RTÉ Radio 1 FM can still be heard.
There are two parts to My Player.
'My Playlist' contains a list of items you have listened to on the RTÉ Radio Player and allows you to create a queue of items to listen to.
'My Quicklinks' allows you to store your favourite clips and programmes so that you can catch up on the latest editions quickly.
Provided your browser supports the latest version of Adobe Flash, the RTÉ Radio Player will work.
Most programmes are available abroad, but on some occasions, RTÉ must block certain content that it does not have the right to broadcast outside of Ireland.

Full programmes are not available for download, but our programme teams work quickly to provide as many items from the shows as possible for download.
We do not collect any personal information about users of the RTÉ Radio Player. Anonymous data regarding user-behaviour and items played within the Player is collected to facilitate features such as My Player.
