All of RTÉ Radio’s fm services are available on Digital Radio, but so too are RTÉ’s seven exclusive digital and online radio stations. With niche dance, alternative and rock music, RTÉ Digital Radio also presents a new schedule from Ireland’s only children’s radio station. RTÉ Pulse
One of the most exciting dance radio stations in existence. Tune into The Cosmo with Scott De Buitléir every Wednesday at 8pm as he continues RTÉ Pulse's Gay Wednesdays, providing top interviews of interest to the Irish gay & lesbian community, with high-quality commercial dance and chart tracks.
The Bassline with Zoe airs every Wednesday night from 11pm till midnight, a journey of the most delicious funky and electro house, with funky vibes blending perfectly with her tough melodic groove, ensuring an extremely pleasurable hour spent in her company.
Twilight with Christian Homan warms up your weekends on Friday at 6pm by keeping his finger on the pulse of dance music near and far. And carrying you through to the later hours of the night is Whiplash, Ireland's premier electro house radio show every Friday from 10pm till midnight. The show is dedicated to bringing you the biggest interviews and freshest rave music, everything fromfidget electro house to bass bending dub plates.
We round off your week with two pioneering shows. Firstly The Speakerboxx with Mo-K and DJ Tando brings you Ireland's first nationwide Hip Hop and R'n'B show taking fresh approach to urban music and renowned for their special mixing, blending and scratching skills. On Breakonomics; Pulse brings you two hours of the finest breakbeat music from around the world, mixed by the infamous Adam Fogarty. From 10pm each Sunday night Breakonomics showcases the breakbeat pioneers of the early eighties right through to today's leaders of the nu skool and promises to be 2 hour juggernaut of funk, bleeps, beats and bass.
RTÉ Choice
There's plenty to keep you entertained this season on RTÉ Choice, with more great documentary, feature and human interest radio. The RTÉ Radio 1 Documentary archive features programmes from as far back as the 1970's for a real retrospective radio experience. Choice also features daily news from around the globe; add a great selection of daily BBC Science programmes, including Science in Action, Click, Health Check, One Planet and Discovery, there's enough on Choice to keep all those inquisitive minds entertained and up-to-date on the latest advances and developments.
RTÉ Gold
RTÉ Gold features a popular blend of pure classic pop and rock from the giants of music - Stevie Wonder to Queen, Jeff Buckley to U2, as well as features and spotlights exploring the history and careers of many of the greats.
RTÉ 2XM
We will continue to bring the very best in underground and alternative music as well as chart based arts and culture shows, featuring interviews with top musicians and pop culture icons. Cock and Bull transfers its popular video-cast to radio with off-the-wall interviews, chat and exclusive live performances from bands and musical acts from home and abroad.
Fun to Hum with Brian Kelly on Monday at 11am is one hour of garage-pop, pop-punk, classic-pop and any other amount of guitar-based compound genres you can care to think of or invent. Tuesday at 10am sees John Connolly mount a one-man campaign to educate the masses with a textbook of The Ramones to A Flock of Seagulls, and from Talk Talk to The Stranglers, on ABC and XTC. Expect an eclectic mix of music that also includes Kate Bush, The Cure and Depeche Mode not excluding modern artists such as Fever Ray and Ladytron.
King Kong Radio on Wednesday 3pm is a weekly live music show featuring performance emerging acts live. And for a real mix bag of music and interviews from the underground music scene from home and abroad tune into New Noise presented by Niamh Hegarty every Saturday at 11pm, featuring music ranging from Neurosis and Martha Reeves to Villagers and Solar Bears.
RTÉjr Radio
RTÉjr Radio is radio made exclusively and especially for kids, and sometimes by kids! It's a mixed-bag of fun, educational and entertaining programming, some of which is lead by children broadcasting their own stories and shows themselves. We start your weekday mornings at 7am with Wakey Wakey, featuring nursery rhymes and stories to ease your little ones into the day.
Each weekday at 11am Daráine's Activity Hour is designed to help parents, crèches and preschools to encourage children to move and participate with music - even if it's only wiggling their toes. The Club comes to you Monday to Friday at 1pm with Colm Flynn. Cian O'Sullivan talks sport and Ciara Lawless talks music with occasional surprise special guests. Emma's Magical Kingdom is a show that immerses itself in everything to do with Disney. Each Sunday at 10am we talk about all your favourite Disney Characters and movies.
Tell Us A Tale is a weekly children's radio programme from Central Virginia in the USA, set to broadcast every Sunday at 11am.
