On February
4th 2001, Mooney Goes Wild On One returned with a
splash! As part of the celebrations to mark 75 years of Radio,
RTÉ Radio 1 teamed up with RTÉ Television and the
Internet to give an insight into the lives of wading birds that
visit our wetlands in winter.
Extensive coverage of wading birds from the Bull Island Nature
Reserve in Dublin was spread throughout the day. The first
transmission began at 8.10am, on RTÉ Radio 1, with
RTÉ One joining the action on television at
08:45.
