Eric Dempsey was in Clonakilty, Cork on Saturday and managed to get a shot of a very rare visitor to Ireland. It is from southern European and was blown to Ireland on the southerly winds we had over the weekend. It is a Cattle Egret..named bacause it follows cattle, eating insects etc that they disturb.
