Eóin McMahon from Co. Kildare sent in these pictures and says:

"We live in a dormer and last Saturday we were woken up in at 6:30 a.m. by a very noisy bunch of crows apparently dancing on the roof.

It woke the kids so, well, there was no going back so I took a look at what was the cause of the consternation.

There was a sparrow hawk in the neighbours' garden with a crow underneath (nice breakfast!) and a bunch of magpies trying to get some, while above were a large flock of much panicked crows.
