Urban Wildlife Photography - Paul Freeney
We regularly get wonderful photos to mooney@rte.ie of the wild life that listeners have encountered. Digital cameras have made it very easy to take photos and send them to us.

During the week, we had a very interesting email from a listener who has taken his photography hobby one step further.

Since being made redundant earlier this year, Paul Freeney has photographed the urban wildlife in Santry Demense near where he lives in Dublin. You can see his photos on his blog and, if all goes well, he hopes to organise an exhibition of his photos in the coming months.

Terry Flanagan went along to meet Paul Freeny.

Climate change and the Masai - Kenny Matampash
Perhaps due to their distinctive customs and dress, the members of the Masai in Kenya and Tanzania are perhaps the most well known of African ethnic groups, yet the ancient way of life of these people is now in danger due to continuing drought and hardship as well as pressures from globalisation.

Kenny Matampash is a Masai elder and farmer, and joins Aonghus today to tell us more.

Anybody who wishes to help can donate to Concern by calling 1850 410 510 or by logging on to www.concern.net

The Fox and the Hedgehog
Amy Mockler joins Aonghus from her home in Cork. She sent us in a photo of two unlikely dining companions.

It shows a fox and a hedgehog eating out of the same bowl in her back garden.

Lizard on Moore Street
Emer Horgan was walking in Dublin last Sunday and she spotted this little creature on the corner or Parnell Street and Moore Street.
