JOY REIDENBERG - Cork Fin Whale
The 20 metre, 65 foot, "Fin Whale" which became stranded in Courtmacsherry estuary, Co. Cork, on January 15th last, finally was buried there after huge efforts to move the long creature failed.

Before the Whale was buried a film crew from the Television Channel National Geographic, managed to capture it, while a post-mortem was being carried out by a team from the "Irish Whale and Dolphin Group", and some University College Cork personnel.
The whole procedure was overseen by a visiting associate American Professor from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

And, that very person joined Derek on the line from New York. Joy Reidenberg spent last weekend in Courtmacsherry, and has now returned to her laboratory where she is awaiting the samples of the Fin Whale to arrive.
