Barry, from Castleblaney, will travel to Budapest for Mr. Gay Europe next summer and Hollywood, USA for Mr. Gay World in January. He will also be taking part in the Gay Rugby World Cup - the Bingham Cup next year. It will be held in Ireland for the first time and is endorsed by the IRFU. It will take place at the DCU Sports Complex, Dublin in June 2008.

A total of €19,000 was raised by the contestants.

Fire Safety in the Home

Brenda went with station officer Greg Matthews to inspect a real life home thanks to the Stanley's in Maynooth and he came into studio with some technical advice about how best to avoid fire or deal with it in the unfortunate event that it should ever arise.
Greg outlined some basic points that every home should know:

Have an evacuation plan.
Crawl through a room if it is filling up with smoke.
Don't go back in to the house.
Along with smoke detectors, keep a fire blanket and dry powder extinguisher in the kitchen.
Unplug electrical appliances before you go to bed.

Paddy Casey

Paddy Casey was in studio with his guitar for a wonderful rendition of Saints and Sinners.
