On 25th September 2004, Mooney Goes Wild was a special from the Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. Jersey is the most southerly of the Channel Islands and thanks to its proximity to the Gulf Stream enjoys some of the warmest temperatures in the British Isles. The island itself is only 9 x 5 miles and has some 87,000 inhabitants.

The programme features an interview with Dr Leagh Durrel, wife and partner of the late Gerald Durrel, founder of the Jersey Wildlife Trust for Conservation. The main focus of attention is the world famous Jersey Zoo.
