Arena presents the latest in its acclaimed series of collaborations with the Nighthawks arts collective, broadcast live from RTÉ Radio 1′s Studio 8.
The programme will see Irish indie music veterans Pony Club perform live. Morrissey once described them as his favourite Irish band. Pony Club released their third album, Post Romantic, back in 2008… but now they have some new songs written and are ready to go again.
There will also be jazz from Edel Meade and her band, sexy-poetic-cabaret music from The Bee-Loud Glade and raw rootsy-blues country-folk from Clara Rose.
In addition, there will be some tasty pop from young Dublin band The iKonics and a short excerpt from the play JOHN LENNON’S LAST DAY – performed by Seamus Brennan. This play is part of The Beatles Show which is returning to Dublin for six performances in April, following its sold-out run last October.
