RTE National Symphony Orchestra: Concerts in February
A concert with masterworks, concert with love, concert with French connections, concert with RTE NSO soloists - four great concerts for you to choose from in February. 3 February: Beethoven Symphony No. 8 and Shostakovich No. 7 with conductor Andrew Litton. 10 February: A concert with works to celebrate Valentine's Day including Wagner Prelude and Liebestod (Tristan and Isolde), Siegfried Idyll plus Dvorak Symphony No. 7. 17 February: A programme of French works including Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique and Roman Carnival Overture, Pascal Rophe conducts. 24 February: RTE NSO Leader, Alan Smale and RTE NSO Cello Principal, Martin Johnson in Delius Concerto for Violin and Cello. Music of Henry Mancini with his daughter
Daughter of famed film composer Henry Mancini joins the RTÉ CO for one night only. Monica Mancini sings some of his classic numbers like Moon River, Charade and Days of Wine and Roses while the orchestra take centre stage for The Pink Panther and more. Monica Mancini has carved out an impressive career as a concert performer and recording artist and has already been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Thursday 23 February, National Concert Hall.

RTÉ NSO and Alan Buribayev perform Grieg, Brahms and Delius in Waterford
Grieg's light-hearted and wonderfully melodic Norwegian Dances, Brahms magnificent first symphony and Delius's gloriously rhapsodic double concerto for violin and cello with RTE NSO Leader, Alan Smale and RTE NSO Principal Cello, Martin Johnson, are all part of the rich programme being performed by the full forces of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra under Principal Conductor Alan Buribayev in its single performance in the WIT College Street Chapel Waterford on Thursday 23 February at 8pm
