Julian Ovenden's TV appearances have included the role of the dashing Dr Cheriton in The Royal and Andrew Foyle from Foyle's War - not forgetting the 'hunk' in a Diet Coke ad! He is also one of the hottest stars on the musical stage, getting rave reviews on the West End and Broadway. Despite his regal connections - his father is Queen Elizabeth's chaplain and lives next door to Windsor Castle - Julian has made his way through his own ability, with scholarships to St Paul's Cathedral choir, Eton and then Oxford to study music. His charisma and his outstanding talent as both singer and actor make him the ideal choice to celebrate Broadway's Great Romantics, with numbers like Almost Like Being In Love, If Ever I Would Leave You, Luck Be A Lady, I Won't Send Roses and Maria, all accompanied by the full RTÉ Concert Orchestra under its Principal Guest Conductor John Wilson.

Julian also joins the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for next week's concert performances of My Fair Lady on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August.
