Allan Harris isn't short of impressive recommendations - he's one of Tony Bennett's favourite singers . . . last year for an incredible fourth time he won Outstanding Jazz Vocalist in the New York Nightlife Awards, the nightclub world's equivalent of the Tonys. . .

According to the Miami Herald, his voice and demeanour 'project the warmth of Tony Bennett, the bite and rhythmic sense of Sinatra, and the sly elegance of Nat King Cole' and CNN's Showbiz Tonight calls him 'one of the three best male jazz vocalists in the country'.

Hardly surprising when you look at his pedigree - his mother was a classical pianist and oboist, his aunt trained as an opera singer then became a blues singer - and as a boy Allan once had no less a babysitter than Louis Armstrong, who terrified him with his voice!

After sell-out concerts with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra & Big Band in 2006, 2007 and 2008, he back with them by popular demand for a Valentine's Day concert of Nat 'King' Cole classics, all in the original arrangements by masters like Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Gordon Jenkins.
