Sunday 23 June 2013 Castletown House, free afternoon family concert
The Quartet has played many times in Castletown, most notably in Autumn 2010 with a stunning complete Beethoven series over six concerts. You can hear them this time in the imposing Entrance Hall of the main house in a more informal and relaxed setting, with light, enjoyable pieces to while away a lazy Sunday afternoon. Bring the family to look around the House - Ireland's largest and earliest Palladian style house - take in the magnificent grounds, have a coffee or lunch in the cafe (the cake is great!) and drop in to hear the wonderful music. The concert runs from 2pm until 4pm, no booking or tickets required, you can join us for as much of it as you wish and chat to Gregory, Keith, Simon and Christopher in-between pieces. The House is a few minutes drive from Exit 6 off the M4 Galway/Sligo road, we look forward to meeting you there!
