Music in High Definition from the RTÉ CO
RTÉ Concert Orchestra August evening concerts (Fridays) have just gone on sale. Paul Brady - the man whose anthems have shaped the nation's musical tradition opens August for two nights. Next, Choice Music Prize nominee, composer, orchestrator and songwriter Julie Feeney performs an eagerly anticipated debut with the RTÉ CO. Continuing the popular film screenings with live score, Rodgers & Hammerstein at the Movies is a treat for the all the senses and a must for film music lovers. Jazz fans can look forward to Unforgettable when world-renowned Allan Harris sings Nat 'King' Cole and finally, to round the month off, Andy O'Callaghan conducts a brand new 70s show called DISCO INFERNO! with his Celebration Singers. Attention DISCO DIVAS!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the DISCO INFERNO! concert previously advertised for Friday August 30th at the National Concert Hall has been re-scheduled to the previous evening, THURSDAY AUGUST 29th. Disco Divas who had already bought tickets for the Friday night have first refusal on the same seats for the Thursday night. Full refunds are also available for those who can't make it on the new date. If you have not already spoken with the NCH Box Office team, please call them on 01 417 0000 for more information. Bass-baritone Bryn Terfel is the next installment of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra Signature Series 2013. One of the most sought after international voices, Terfel has won two Grammy Awards, four Classical Brit Awards and Her Majesty the Queen's medal for Music.
