CULTURE NIGHT 2009 WITH RTÉ

RTÉ PROUDLY MARKS CULTURE NIGHT 2009 WITH A TOTAL OF THREE EVENTS, TAKING PLACE AT THE NATIONAL CONCERT HALL AND THE NATIONAL GALLERY.

IN EXCESS OF 1800 FREE TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE ACROSS THE FOLLOWING EVENTS:


RTÉ CÓR NA NÓG CONCERTS: 6PM and 6.30PM
This dynamic children's choir will give two 20-minute concerts of music ranging from rousing African songs and a Spanish hymn to Irish favourites I'll Tell Me Ma and The Dublin Saunter.
Venue: Shaw Room, National Gallery of Ireland

ORGAN RECITAL: 6.30PM
RTÉ presents leading organist Mark Duley in a 30-minute solo recital. Hear the famous Widor Toccata, a Donnacha Dennehy piece and music by organ masters Bach and Franck.

RTÉ NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT: 8PM
One hundred free tickets are available for the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra season concert, featuring famous ballet music by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev's exciting 1st Violin Concerto and the world première of Crane by Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy.

And for a different take, don't miss Soundings, the free pre-concert talk with composer Donnacha Dennehy at 7pm.
