Beautiful songs from glorious, melody-filled operettas by Lehár and Kalman form the ravishing centrepiece of a concert framed by two very different musical portraits of Jupiter: the Roman god captured in all his mighty, imperial grandeur by Mozart, and Holst's glittering depiction of the planet, the fabled "bringer of jollity". Gabriela Istoc, always a lunchtime favourite, is our soloist.
