FROM RUSSIA...WITH FUN
Expect fun aplenty in a work of barnstorming vitality as Shostakovich's lighter side comes fabulously to the fore in his jubilant concerto for piano, trumpet and strings - a work with the composer's tongue firmly in his cheek that makes the orchestra swing like a jazz band.
Thrilling, foot-tapping entertainment is guaranteed by two effusive dances from Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin. And dazzling exoticism aplenty in the ever-popular Scheherazade, Rimsky-Korsakov's bewitchingly perfumed setting of tales from The Arabian Nights.
Tickets: €10, €18, €24, €30, €35 (concessions €9, €16, €22, €27, €32)
