Watch Alan's video interviews in which he discusses the 2011-2012 season and his thoughts on being the RTÉ NSO's Principal Conductor
Grieg dipped into folk sources for these Norwegian Dances - and Norway will open before you. We also have the English-born, German-trained, French-inspired Delius at his most lyrical and evanescent; and the Russian Prokofiev at his most dramatic, in music inspired by his opera The Fiery Angel - a work dealing in exorcism, black magic and the Inquisition.
