RUSSIAN DOLLS
Russian virtuoso Alexander Toradze's recording of Prokofiev's Concerto No. 3 was named by International Piano Quarterly as 'historically the best on record'. Here is the opportunity to hear Toradze perform the work live.
Prokofiev wrote his concerto while in exile from the then new Soviet Union. Peel back more layers of Russian history with Shostakovich's brooding 10th Symphony, a portrait of the Stalin years. The young exciting Kazakh conductor Alan Buribayev, makes an eagerly anticipated return visit.
