There are many natural concert combinations emerging from the new 2010-2011 season. Ranging from The Americas concert with accordionist James Crabb performing Piazzolla's sultry Concierto de Aconcagua alongside 'Latin American Bach' to Scandinavia with Principal Guest Conductor Hannu Lintu conducting Sibelius' The Captive Queen and Nielsen symphonies Nos. 4 and 5.

Rachmaninov Complete Works for Piano & Orchestra
With these, works including Shostakovich's tenth symphony, film music written by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Constant Lambert in the 1940s: Sinfonia Antarctica - the score for Scott of the Antarctic, Anna Karenina and Rimsky-Korsakov overtures.

Brahms: Piano Concerti directed by Barry Douglas
With these, a chance to hear Douglas conducting Pictures at an Exhibition, a work for which he is renowned, and excerpts from Prokofiev's ballet masterpiece, Romeo and Juliet, including the one better known as the theme from The Apprentice.

Mozart: The Piano Concerti Cycle
Year 1 of a three-year cycle, Finghin Collins performs and directs two complete programmes of Mozart concerti in Dublin - one of which includes the great Concerto for Two Pianos with Cédric Tiberghien - and one other on tour as well as performing No. 25 in C as part of the New Year's Day concerts.

The French Connection: Ravel, Debussy, Milhaud, Honegger
Including Milhaud's jazz-influenced La Création du monde alongside Honegger's choral masterwork King David and cornerstones of the French repertory, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin and Debussy's Nocturnes.

The Roman Trilogy: Respighi's Pines of Rome, Fountains of Rome and Roman Festivals
With these, works such as Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra, Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme with cellist Johannes Moser and Boccherini's famous Cello Concerto in B flat with Andreas Brantelid as soloist and Dimitri Jurowski conducting.
