Over 100 jobs are to be created at Irish financial technology company Sentenial in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

The 110 extra staff are needed due to the introduction of a unified international payment system across the European Union next February.

Sentenial is providing companies with the technology to ready themselves for the changeover.

The company already employs 160 staff at its site in the Maynooth Business Campus.

The new jobs will be coming on stream over the next 14 months, bringing the company's total workforce to 270 people.
