Brehon Capital Partners makes fifth deal in Irish hotel sector with Killashee buy

Killashee House Hotel in Co Kildare has been sold for €13m as a going concern to Brehon Capital Partners and Midwest Holding.

The 180 staff working at the hotel will all keep their jobs.

Killashee House is a 141 bedroom four star hotel and spa near Naas, Co Kildare. Over 160 weddings were held at the hotel last year.

The hotel is the fifth such acquisition that Brehon has made in recent times.

Its deals include the purchase of The Marker Hotel and Residences in Dublin, The Powerscourt Hotel in Co Wicklow and Mount Juliet in Co Kilkenny.

Commenting on the deal, Michael McElligott, a director of Brehon Capital Partners, said the group has great confidence in the luxury end of the Irish hotel market.

"Brehon will continue to seek out investment opportunities across the office, hotel and multi-family segments of the market," he added.
