National Geographic has opened its first Irish store in Dublin Airport's Terminal 1.

The shop will sell a wide range of National Geographic’s books and magazines as well stationery, maps globes, luggage, clothing, accessories and children’s products.

The new Dublin Airport store is National Geographic’s second airport outlet in Europe, after it opened its first in Rome last year.

"The National Geographic Society has been inspiring people to care about the planet for over 125 years and we’re thrilled that its first Irish store is in The Loop at Dublin Airport," said Paul Neeson, Director of Retail at Dublin Airport.

Founded in 1888, the National Geographic Society reaches more than 500 million people worldwide each month through its media platforms, products and events.

It has funded over 11,000 scientific research, conservation and exploration projects and also supports an education programme for geographic literacy.
