New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that there were two industrial disputes in progress in the first quarter of 2014.
These two disputes involved 178 workers and two companies and resulted in the loss of 310 days of work. The two industrial rows were in the industry and education sectors.
The CSO said there were also two disputes in the first quarter of 2013, which involved 107 workers and resulted in 228 days being lost.
During the fourth quarter of 2013, a total of five industrial disputes - involving 6,394 workers - were held. This resulted in a total of 4,602 days being lost.
