PCH International has acquired a Canadian ecommerce platform ShopLocket.

The global supply chain company, which is headquartered in Co Cork, said the acquisition would allow it to offer start-ups a marketplace through which they could sell their products.

PCH specialises in helping hardware companies get their products manufactured and distributed, however it has increasingly become involved in product development as well.

The company said this acquisition would create the first “end-to-end service”, which would help businesses to create, manufacture and sell products.

PCH CEO Liam Casey said this model would be “the future of creating, making and selling products for wearable tech and the Internet of Things”, and described ShopLocket as a “fantastic fit” for PCH.
