Ryanair carried 5.2 million passengers last month - 300,000 more than in November 2012 and a record number for the no-frills airline.

Around 81.2 million people flew with the airline in the year to November; a 2% increase on the same period 12 months ago.

The airline said it was the first time it had carried more than 81 million passengers in a 12 month period.

During the month Ryanair's load factor also improved, rising one point to 81%. The airline's load factor for the year to November was 83%.
