Julie Sinnamon has been appointed chief executive of Enterprise Ireland. She will take up her new role at the organisation at the beginning of November.
Most recently Ms Sinnamon held the position of executive director for Global Business Development at Enterprise Ireland.
In a statement Enterprise Ireland said the recruitment process had been rigorous and applicants from Ireland and overseas were evaluated.
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said: “Following in the footsteps of current CEO Frank Ryan, who over the last ten years has made an enormous contribution to the Irish economy, I have no doubt that with Julie’s enthusiasm and professionalism she will be a huge asset in meeting the many demands and challenges that we continue to face”.
