Financial services company Zurich is to create 112 new jobs in Dublin as part of the establishment of two new IT operations.
The investment, which is supported by IDA Ireland and the Department of Enterprise, will provide IT and security services to the company’s global operations.
Zurich already employs over 1,000 people in Ireland and has its European insurance headquarters based in the IFSC.
Recruitment has already begun for the new roles, in areas including disaster recovery and cyber analysis.
Head of Zurich’s General Insurance business in Europe, Patrick Manley said the new operations would allow the company to “significantly upgrade our IT capabilities" and improve security on its IT assets around the world.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the investment “demonstrates the value of keeping Ireland at the cutting edge of the expanding digital industry”.
