Visitor numbers to Ireland from overseas rose slightly last year.
Official figures from the CSO show a 0.2% increase in overseas trips.
Just over 6.5 million non-residents visited Ireland last year. The number of nights spent in Ireland by tourists fell by almost 5%, however, to just under 48 million.
Total tourism and travel earnings from overseas travellers rose by 4.5% over the year to €3.68 billion.
The number of overseas trips made by Irish residents also rose in 2012, by 0.5% or 33,000, to 6.3 million.
Irish residents spent €4.8 billion, down 5.8% compared to 2011.
