Lincor has secured $9.5m in investment from US venture capital firm Edison Ventures.
Lincor makes specialised computer systems for hospitals, and their patients.
It said this investment will allow the firm expand both in Ireland and the US, creating 30 jobs here in research, development, customer support and sales at its facilities in Cork and Dublin.
''The healthcare industry is experiencing tremendous cost and care delivery challenges particularly in the United States,'' commented Lincor's chief executive Richard Cooke.
''This financing will enable us to aggressively expand our market presence both in the US and globally with an accelerated programme of product development,'' he added.
