60 new jobs are to be created following announcements by companies in Galway and Dublin.

35 new jobs are to be created at a medical devices company in Gort, Co Galway.

The IDA-supported investment will bring the workforce at CareFusion to 130. The company manufactures products used for the diagnosis of neurological disorders.

Elsewhere, Hollyban Ltd, trading as the Bluebird Care, is to recruit 25 new jobs in Dublin.

The Sandyford-headquartered company said further growth plans were anticipated for 2012.

Bluebird Care provides non-medical services in the home. The new positions will primarily be for care staff in addition to supervisory and management roles.
