Irish company Phorest, which provides an online booking system for beauty salons in Ireland and the UK, has secured €1.3m in funding to help its expansion plans.
The funding has come from three investors: the AIB Seed Capital Fund; Enterprise Ireland; and Bloom Equity.
The company now plans to expand its consumer booking website Zanadoo.me, which allows people to book treatments across all of its client salons. Phorest says the expansion will lead to 20 new jobs in Ireland over the next three years.
In the past 12 months, Phorest says its software has processed more than €250m worth of bookings, daily deals and loyalty transactions in salons across the UK and Ireland.
Phorest says the online beauty appointments market is projected to be worth over €10 billion within the next decade. More than 750 salons in the UK and Ireland are now using its booking software.
