E|net, the company responsible for managing Ireland's fibre-optic metropolitan area networks has announced a €25m investment that will create 50 new jobs.

The investment comprises 20 new jobs in Limerick, and 30 new construction jobs nationwide during the rollout of the network.

The investment was announced at the official opening of e|net's new corporate headquarters in Plassey, Limerick.

Conal Henry, e|net CEO said, 'The MAN programme is supporting Government policy, in particular by facilitating foreign direct investment across the regions'.

E|net provides telecommunications products and services to authorised operators on a wholesale basis.
