Talks are continuing between the receiver of Waterford Crystal and two consortiums who are interested in buying Waterford Wedgwood.

There are no reports of any major developments in the talks.

The former chief executive of Waterford Crystal, John Foley, was having face-to-face talks with the receiver, David Carson, at the Waterford Crystal offices in Kilbarry in Waterford city. Mr Foley was also expected to meet union officials.

He is part of the Clarion Capital investment group, which has put together a bid for the Waterford Wedgwood company. The firm has been in receivership since early January.

The occupation of the visitor centre by Waterford Crystal workers is continuing for its fourth day. Around 60 workers remained overnight in the visitor centre at the company's facility in Kilbarry.
