Lifestyle Sports has named Dunnes executive Eoin McGettigan as the new CEO.
He will take up his position from the 1st of February 2007, following a planned handover period with current CEO Andy Sharkey.
Before he was senior director at Dunnes, McGettigan was CEO of Co Op in the UK, having spent 12 years with Musgraves where he led the establishment of the SuperValu and Centra networks in Ireland.
Lifestyle Sports says it is the largest sports retail chain in Ireland, with over 70 stores and turnover of over €170m.
The Stafford Group acquired Lifestyle Sports in 2005 from a consortium in which Andy Sharkey was a major shareholder.
