Man dies following a car crash in Limerick on TuesdayThursday 17 March 2016 20.36
A 23-year-old man who was seriously injured in a collision in Limerick on Tuesday has died. He is the second fatality of the crash.
The young man was pronounced dead at University Hospital, Limerick this evening.
The collision, which involved a car and van, occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Tuesday evening.
Two men in the car were removed by ambulance to University Hospital, Limerick where the male passenger, aged 28, died.
The driver of the van (a man in his 40s) and his passenger, a five-year-old girl, were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigating gardaí are renewing their appeal for information in relation to the collision on Hyde Road, Limerick.
