Four people have been arrested in connection with an investigation into false imprisonment, blackmail and criminal damage in Co Wexford.

The incidents occurred in Gorey between 25 January and 3 February.

Two men, aged 25 and 33, and two women, aged 31 and 48, were arrested in Gorey and Enniscorthy at around 8.30am.

Two men and a woman are being held at Enniscorthy and Wexford Garda stations.

The 48-year-old woman was questioned at Gorey Garda staton and has since been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
