Forty new positions have been announced by a retail software company based in Claremorris, Co Mayo.
CBE develops and supplies point of sale solutions for the retail and hospitality sectors. The company sells its products mainly to the independent retail groups and hospitality markets.
The jobs are being created with the support of Enterprise Ireland.
The company said it will employ 150 people by the end of 2017 through its current expansion and development plan.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny officially announced the jobs today at CBE's international head office in Claremorris where the jobs will be primarily based.
Gerard Concannon, CBE’s CEO, said the "high quality of graduates from the third level colleges in Ireland has given us a real competitive advantage over the international competitors within the IT sector".
