Public sector strike action in France has disrupted air travel, with both Aer Lingus and Ryanair cancelling a number of flights.

Nine of the country's main airports have been asked to reduce their normal schedules by 20%.

Passengers are asked to check with their airline before travelling to the airport.

Airports affected include Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris Orly Airport, Beauvais-Tillé Airport, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport, Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport, Marseille Provence Airport, Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and Nantes Atlantique Airport.
