Seven people have been arrested after cannabis and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €480,000 were seized following separate operations in Dublin, Donegal and Galway.
Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €150,000 and made two arrests as part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of cannabis in the north Dublin area.
Cannabis with an estimated street value of €60,000 was seized when gardaí stopped and searched a car on the N7, Clondalkin, yesterday evening.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained at Clondalkin Garda Station.
Later, during a follow-up operation, cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized at a house in Baldoyle.
A female aged in her 20s was arrested and detained under at Coolock Garda Station.
Separately, gardaí from Milford and Letterkenny in Co Donegal discovered 321 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €128,000 during a search on a house at Maherwarden, Portsalon, yesterday.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and is being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.
During a search of a house at Bornacurra, Ballygar in Co Galway cannabis plants and cannabis growing paraphernalia with an estimated street value of €200,000 was discovered.
Four men, aged 27, 31, 34 and 52 were arrested at the scene.
They are being detained at Loughrea and Ballinasloe Garda Stations.
