A 55-year-old woman charged following a €150,000 heroin seizure in Dublin has been granted bail.

Gabrielle Kelly, from Kylemore Drive, Ballyfermot, Dublin, was ordered to appear again in January after she appeared before Judge David McHugh at Blanchardstown District Court today.

She is charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply at her home address on 3 September.

Garda Fiona Ruddy said the woman made no reply when she was charged last night at Clondalkin Garda Station.

There was no objection to bail providing Ms Kelly surrendered her passport, continued to reside at her current address, signed on once a week at her local garda station and be contactable by mobile phone 24 hours a day.

The accused, who has not yet entered a plea, remained silent during the hearing and was remanded on bail to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecution to be obtained.

She will face her next hearing on 23 January, 2015, and was granted free legal aid.
