Gardaí investigating the murder of Raonaid Murray 15 years ago are still trying to identify a motive for her killing.
The 17-year-old died after she was attacked at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary Dublin, just 500m from her home in September 1999.
Detectives said today they are also anxious to speak to anyone who has doubts about the veracity of an alibi provided for anyone in relation to the murder.
Gardaí are stressing the investigation team at Dún Laoghaire along with the Serious Crime Review Team is continuing to pursue all lines of inquiry and that solving the case is of the utmost priority.
Superintendent Paul Moran said gardaí are fully committed to the investigation and are renewing their appeal for information:
"There are people out there with critical information that have not yet come forward with regards to this murder," he said.
"Our appeal is for anyone that may have any information that could assist in identifying a motive for the murder of Raonaid.
"Gardaí and Raonaid's family request anyone with information to contact the garda incident room at Dún Laoghaire at 6665032, or alternatively the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111."
