Woman killed in three-vehicle collision in Co Cork

A woman has been killed in a three-vehicle collision in Co Cork.

The incident, involving two cars and a mini-bus, happened in Schull, Co Cork, at 4pm this afternoon.

The deceased woman, who was in her 60s, was driving one of the cars.

Her body has been taken to Cork University Hospital.

The female driver of the mini-bus was removed to CUH, but is not thought to be seriously injured.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.

The female driver of the second car was not injured.

The road in the area remains closed and garda forensic collision investigators are examining the scene.  

Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the crash and anyone with information is asked to contact Bantry Garda Station on 027 20860.
