A 25-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Limerick.

The crash happened at Ballyphillip, Banogue, on the N20 at around 11.50pm yesterday.

The man was fatally injured when the car he was driving hit a pole.

He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
