Man dies in two-vehicle crash near Kells, Co MeathThursday 14 August 2014 16.10
A 46-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle collision near Kells, Co Meath.
He was fatally injured when the van he was driving collided with a lorry at Johnsbrook on the N52 from Kells to Mullingar, at an area known locally as Lynch's Cross.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
A second man, who was driving the lorry, was also taken to Our Lady's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident took place at 10.30am this morning.
The road is closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
